The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie status sassa and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area read more on a regular basis. The company level established for intervention encounters a significant inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much sassa more assets to empower the servicing of all customers and enhance use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
